Unlock Your Future with the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES)

The GOI-IES programme offers 60 scholarships annually to exceptional international students pursuing master’s, postgraduate diploma, or PhD studies (NFQ levels 9 or 10) in Ireland. Funded by the Government of Ireland and Irish higher education institutions, this scholarship is managed by the Higher Education Authority.
Scholarship Benefits
- €10,000 stipend for one year of full-time study.
- Full tuition fee waiver provided by the host institution.
- Study commencement in September or October 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must reside outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or the UK.
- Must secure a conditional or final admission offer to an eligible Irish higher education institution.
- Candidates who have previously received a GOI-IES scholarship are not eligible.
- Nationals of Russia and Belarus are not eligible due to ongoing aggression in Ukraine.
Application Process
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Outstanding academic achievement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Extracurricular engagement (e.g., humanitarian work, arts, sports, etc.).
- A clear rationale for studying in Ireland, aligning with their long-term goals.

- Application Deadline: 5 PM (Irish time), 05 March 2025.
- Call Outcome Notification: Early June 2025.
