The American University of Beirut (AUB) Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2025/2026 for Graduate Study (Fully Funded)
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at AUB is now open for applications for the 2025/2026 academic year. This prestigious program offers fully-funded scholarships for Master’s and PhD studies at the American University of Beirut, aiming to develop the next generation of leaders who are committed to creating positive change in their communities and beyond.
Scholarship Overview:
- Program Duration: Full scholarships for Master’s (thesis and non-thesis) and PhD degrees starting in Fall 2025/2026.
- Target Audience: Citizens of African countries, Lebanese citizens, and refugees in Lebanon or Africa.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s Programs: Open to citizens of African countries, Lebanese citizens, and refugees in Lebanon or Africa.
- PhD Programs: Open to citizens and refugees from the African continent.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be 35 years or younger.
- Academic Excellence: Must have a strong academic standing from the previous degree.
- Financial Need: Talent should exceed financial resources.
- Community Commitment: A strong commitment to giving back to your community, country, and region.
- Leadership Skills: Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential.
- English Language Proficiency: Applicants must submit English test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, or DUOLINGO) by May 30, 2025 (for Master’s) or June 20, 2025 (for PhD).
How to Apply:
- Step 1: Complete the AUB online graduate application and upload supporting documents.
- Step 2: Select Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program under the Financial Opportunities section in the online application.
- Step 3: Submit the AUB Financial Aid Application after completing the graduate application. You will receive access within 1-3 days.
Important: Applications are only considered complete if both the AUB Graduate Application and Financial Aid Application are submitted.

- Master’s in Computing in Education
- Master’s in Business Administration
- Master’s in Nursing Administration and Management

Application Deadline:
- • May 16, 2025: Submit the graduate application.
- • June 20, 2025: Submit English proficiency test scores (RUSE).
