1. MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS)

• Open to 300-level students in Science and Technology-related fields in Nigerian public tertiary institutions.

• 300 students are selected annually.

• Scholarship Amount: N300,000 per year until graduation (subject to maintaining academic requirements).

2. MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS)

• Open to 200 & 300-level blind students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions.

• Covers students across all fields of study.

• The number of beneficiaries increased from 60 to 100 in 2024.

• Scholarship Amount: Increased from N200,000 to N300,000 per year until graduation (if grade requirements are met).

3. Top 10 UTME Scholarship

• Awarded to the top 10 candidates with the highest scores in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

• Scholarship Amount: N300,000 per year until graduation.

Eligibility Criteria

A. Institution of Study

• The MTN STS and MTN SBS are available to students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

B. Course of Study

• MTN STS: Open to 300-level students pursuing Science and Technology-related courses.

• MTN SBS: Open to 200 & 300-level blind students studying any course.

• For Law students: Only 300-level blind students can apply, as Law is a five-year course.

C. Level of Study

MTN STS: Open to students moving from 200-level to 300-level or currently in 300-level.

MTN SBS: Open to 200 & 300-level blind students.

D. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) Requirements

MTN STS:

Public Universities & Colleges of Education: Minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (Second Class Upper).

Public Polytechnics: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from OND and must have gained admission into HND.

Direct Entry Students: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from OND and must have secured admission into 300-level in a Public University.

MTN SBS:

Public Universities & Colleges of Education: Minimum CGPA of 2.5.

Public Polytechnics: Minimum CGPA of 2.0 from OND and must have secured admission into HND.
