The Opportunity: Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

At Plan International, we know that data is key to driving change. As a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our global M&E system, PMERL. Your work will ensure that we measure progress effectively and maintain a culture of learning and accountability across our programs.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Enhance M&E capacity across our global offices, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  • Develop global evidence products that inform program design and demonstrate the impact of our work.
  • Strengthen M&E frameworks, methods, and tools to improve our development and humanitarian outcomes.
  • Build awareness and support teams in implementing M&E systems.
  • Drive organizational learning by implementing sector-leading M&E practices.

What We’re Looking For

We seek candidates who have:

  • Expertise in Monitoring & Evaluation: Experience developing M&E standards and tools for NGOs.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets and produce meaningful reports.
  • Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking: A deep understanding of M&E and rights-based development programming.
  • Global Deployment Experience: Experience designing and deploying M&E tools across different countries and contexts.

  • Location: The role is based at Plan International’s Global Hub in Woking, Surrey, UK. We will also consider candidates in other locations with Plan International offices, provided they have the right to live and work there.
