Are you ready to make an impact on the global migration landscape? The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Consultant to support the Global Staff Association Committee (GSAC). This home-based, three-month consultancy offers a unique opportunity to shape strategic communications for an organization committed to humane and orderly migration.

Scope of Work

Under the supervision of the Programme and Communications Officer, the consultant will help develop an effective communication framework for GSAC to:

  • Enhance member engagement (+17,000 staff globally).
  • Establish a unified brand identity.
  • Streamline messaging and platform use.

Key Responsibilities

Month 1: Strategy Development & Branding

  • Conduct a communications assessment and identify gaps.
  • Develop a communications strategy with goals, key messages, and KPIs.
  • Create a cohesive brand identity (logo, color palette, templates).

Month 2: Annual Plan & Content Development

  • Define content pillars for focused messaging.
  • Prepare an annual communications plan, including a content calendar and guidelines.

Month 3: SharePoint & Evaluation Framework

  • Design a user-friendly SharePoint structure for information sharing.
  • Develop internal communication guidelines for consistency.
  • Establish KPIs and an evaluation framework to measure impact.

Deliverables

  • Month 1: Communications strategy document and brand identity package.
  • Month 2: Annual communications plan and content calendar.
  • Month 3: SharePoint structure, internal guidelines, and evaluation framework.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, International Relations, or related field with 6 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience will also be considered.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in communications, branding, or digital content within international organizations.
  • Expertise in graphic design, content development, and public relations.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
  • Knowledge of other UN languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) is an advantage.
