About the IMF Internship Program (FIP)
The IMF Internship Program (FIP) offers an exciting opportunity for PhD students in macroeconomics or related fields to gain valuable hands-on experience at the IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C. Interns will engage in research and analysis, working alongside seasoned IMF professionals and possibly contributing to an internal research paper.
Program Details:
- Duration: 10–12 weeks (June–September 2025).
- Type: Paid Internship.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- PhD students within 1–2 years of completing their degree in macroeconomics or a related field.
- Must remain a student after the internship, continuing PhD studies.
- Age: Below 32 at the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and computer skills.
