The Government Analytics Fellowship, hosted by the World Bank, is a prestigious program aimed at equipping central government officials with cutting-edge data analytics skills to enhance public administration and decision-making. About the Fellowship

Launched in 2024, this initiative bridges the gap between underutilized government data and its potential to improve administrative efficiency. Supported by insights from the Government Analytics Handbook and guidance from World Bank experts and academics, the Fellowship offers hands-on learning and global collaboration opportunities.

  • Hybrid Structure: Two weeks of in-person training in Washington, D.C., combined with six months of light virtual sessions (1 hour/week).

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Work in a central government organization or agency.
  • Hold a mid-level manager or senior analyst position with authority to develop an analytics project.
  • Have a background in statistics or quantitative methods.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Be officially nominated by their organization (up to two fellows per organization).

  2. 150-word Project Summary explaining how the fellowship will benefit your organization.
  3. Endorsement Letter from your organization confirming your role and nomination.
