Aspen Institute Food Leaders Fellowship: Empowering Changemakers in Food Systems

The Aspen Institute’s Food & Society Program is now accepting applications for the 2025 Food Leaders Fellowship, an 18-month program designed to equip leaders in the food system with the tools to drive impactful change in fairness, sustainability, and health.

About the Fellowship

This transformative program includes:

  • Immersive Seminar: Launches with an interactive session at Aspen Institute’s Colorado campus, focusing on personal beliefs and missions through the Aspen seminar method.
  • Development Activities: Fellows engage in in-person gatherings, virtual sessions, and site visits to develop actionable strategies for their communities and careers.

Key Dates for In-Person Seminars

  • August 10-15, 2025
  • April 29-May 2, 2026
  • February 3-6, 2027

Candidate Criteria

The fellowship is open to applicants from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including:

  • Innovators and Entrepreneurs: Focused on fair, sustainable, and healthy food systems.
  • Collaborative Leaders: Ready to scale impactful solutions.
  • Open-Minded Changemakers: Committed to learning diverse perspectives and fostering growth.

Fellows are chosen to form a diverse and inspiring cohort that supports one another’s development.
