Advance Your Academic Career: Apply for Yale ISP Resident Fellowships 2025-2026

The Information Society Project (ISP) at Yale University is now accepting applications for its prestigious ISP Resident Fellowships for the academic year 2025-2026. This fellowship is a unique opportunity for recent graduates of law or Ph.D. programs aiming to pursue academic careers in cutting-edge fields.

Research Focus Areas

Applicants’ research must align with ISP’s core areas, such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • The Digital Public Sphere, including:
  • Freedom of speech
  • Content moderation
  • Privacy
  • Antitrust
  • Algorithmic governance

Fellowship Details

  • Engagement & Expectations:
  • Fellows must be present at the ISP for three days per week and actively participate in all ISP events.
  • Fellows will contribute to ISP programming and produce at least two academic works annually.
  • Residency: Strongly recommended to live in or near New Haven, CT.
  • Duration & Compensation:
  • Fellowship runs from July 1, 2025, for one year, with possible renewal based on performance.
  • Includes a $70,000 annual salary, Yale benefits, a travel stipend, and access to Yale University’s extensive resources.

Submit the following materials by December 18, 2024:

  • Cover Letter: Explain your interest in the ISP Resident Fellowship.
  • Research Agenda: Up to 5 pages outlining your academic focus.
  • Resume or CV.
  • Law/Graduate School Transcript.
  • Scholarly Writing Sample: At least one, in English.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation.
