The Swedish Institute (SI) introduces the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), a prestigious scholarship program aimed at fostering global leaders who will actively contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

  • Apply via universityadmissions.se between 16 October 2023 – 15 January 2024.
  •  SISGP Scholarship Application:
  • Open from 12 February 2024.

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship offers a unique chance for international students, particularly from developing countries, to:

The program, funded by Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and administered by the Swedish Institute, prepares recipients to lead sustainable development efforts in their home countries.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Work Experience: At least 3,000 hours of demonstrated full-time/part-time employment, internships, voluntary work, or leadership roles.
  • Country: Be a citizen of an eligible country.
  • Tuition Fees: Be required to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities.
  • Academic Admission: Apply for and be admitted to one of the eligible master’s programs starting in autumn 2024.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership abilities from work, internships, or voluntary activities after high school.
