The Africa CDC, in partnership with the Kofi Annan Foundation, invites applications for the 5th Cohort of the Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme. This esteemed initiative helps senior public health professionals in Africa develop the leadership skills needed to drive impactful health solutions.

Launched on May 25, 2020, the programme has already trained 59 alumni from over 20 African Union (AU) Member States. Another 25 fellows are currently undergoing training. Graduates have risen to top government roles, led major health initiatives, and introduced innovative leadership strategies.

This programme offers incredible benefits, including:

The programme targets senior public health professionals from AU Member States. To qualify, you must:

• Hold a postgraduate degree in a related field.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in public health.
• Show proven leadership ability or strong leadership potential.

Applications from underrepresented groups, such as women and professionals in mental health or sexual and reproductive health, are highly encouraged.

Submit the following documents by December 31, 2024:

1. Employer Support Letter: A letter backing your application.
2. Two Professional Recommendations: Letters from individuals who know your work well.
3. Personal Statement: Share your leadership experiences and your vision for public health.
4. Project Proposal: Outline a challenge in public health leadership and your proposed solution.
