The Wilson Center’s Spring 2025 Staff Assistant Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a globally respected institution. This part-time role is ideal for students and recent graduates eager to contribute to impactful research and policy initiatives.

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is a non-partisan hub for dialogue on pressing global issues. As a living memorial to President Wilson, it fosters collaboration among academics, policymakers, and thought leaders. The Office of Scholars and Academic Relations manages key fellowship and internship programs, making it an ideal space for professional growth.

• Position: Staff Assistant Intern
• Type: Paid Internship ($17.80/hour)
• Schedule: 20–25 hours per week (flexible)
• Semester: Spring 2025
• Location: Washington, DC (in-person or hybrid options)
• Duration: January 13 – May 2025

As a Staff Assistant Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in the center’s daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with intern onboarding and orientation.
• Supporting strategic partnership efforts.
• Creating recruitment and marketing materials for internships and fellowships.
• Helping coordinate the annual fellowship competition.
• Recruiting and onboarding interns for various program offices.
• Maintaining and updating the alumni database.
• Providing support at the front desk when needed.
• Assisting in the organization of center-wide events.

This diverse range of tasks will enhance your skills in organization, communication, and event management.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and flexibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Experience in graphic design (preferred).
• A passion for international relations or public policy (preferred).

This opportunity is open to:

• Current undergraduates, graduate students, or recent graduates (within one year).
• Those accepted into an advanced degree program.
